Roy Gott

As the IT Manager at Schoodic Institute, Roy maintains and administers the Institute’s computers, network, printers, servers, contracted services such as email, and assists with guest connections to the audio/video equipment in our meeting spaces. The Institute’s needs are diverse and change over time, and Roy enjoys the varied challenges that the job presents.

In one capacity or another, Roy has been involved with computer technology for the majority of his life. He has owned and operated a technical support business since graduating from college in 2004, through which he provides support for ten area municipal town offices, as well as a number of small businesses and home office environments.

Since 2012, Roy has served as the town’s elected School Board Member, as well as the School Board Chair since 2016. Roy graduated with honors from the University of Maine, receiving his BA in Computer Science.
