Visitors to the area can stop to ask questions or use the restroom at the gatehouse, or continue to the historic Rockefeller Hall and explore the Welcome Center exhibits.
The Welcome Center at Rockefeller Hall includes interactive displays and information about Schoodic Institute and our partnership with Acadia National Park, local ecology, citizen science, the importance of science to Park resource managers, the history of Schoodic Point and the U.S. Naval Observatory, and art in Acadia National Park.
The Welcome Center is typically open 7 days a week; 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on weekends, from Memorial Day to Columbus Day, and is open most weekdays throughout the winter months.
