John G. Moore Auditorium

This state-of-the-art space has a range of features to make your next meeting, corporate retreat, symposium, or event memorable.  Meeting spaces include our main auditorium, 2 break-out rooms, a lobby, and an outdoor courtyard and lawn. Guests have access to in-house WiFi as well as IT and AV Support staff for any necessary assistance.

 Auditorium

 

This 124 tiered seat modern auditorium is equipped with high definition projectors and surround sound. There are six high-speed wifi hubs in the auditorium for fast and reliable connection. In addition, there are outlets under each seat to accommodate students or guests with laptops or other electronics. IT and AV support staff are also available.

AV Capabilities:  The Moore Auditorium has a ceiling mounted projector and lectern that can be used for computer presentations.  Adapters from your computer’s DisplayPort to VGA should be provided by the customer.  In house audio for projection and lectures is available.  The auditorium house sound system has been designed for lecture style speech and not vocal or musical performances.

Breakout Rooms

This 1,300 square foot multi-purpose room is the perfect space for meetings, lectures, and workshops. The entire room can seat 60 guests in a classroom-style configuration or 100 theater style.  A seamless dividing wall in the center of the room can easily convert the space into two rooms. In the split configuration, each breakout room can fit 50 in theater-style configuration or 30 when set up classroom-style.

AV Capabilities: Both Moore Breakouts have a ceiling mounted projector and automated screen system with projector speakers. Guest should bring adapters from your computer’s DisplayPort to plug into our VGA.

Lobby

The Lobby of Moore auditorium has been used for poster sessions, receptions, and gallery exhibits.

Outdoor space

In our rear courtyard, we have an amphitheater for groups fewer than 30 guests, fire pits with seating around the perimeter, and a patio with optional seating that overlooks the lawn.

 

George M. Wright Hall

Wright Hall has a variety of features to meet your needs. This modern science facility is the epicenter for research here at Schoodic Institute and the workplace for our staff scientists, educators, and field technicians.

Classrooms

Our large classroom can comfortably seat 41 people. Our medium sized classroom can comfortably seat 33 people. Our smaller classroom can comfortably seat 25 people.

Labs

The microscopy lab can comfortably seat 17 and comes with a hood, cold storage capabilities, and a whiteboard. The second lab can comfortably seat 10 and is able to serve a variety of needs

Wright Hall Library

This small breakout room lends itself well as a meeting space for a group of up to 12 and a contains floor to ceiling blackboard, PC workstation with printing capabilities, and a small collection of scientific reference literature.

Classroom

This large classroom can seat 70 people theater style or 50 in a classroom style arrangement and offers a smart board, 2 whiteboards, and projection capabilities.

Computer Labs

 

The medium sized computer lab can seat 30 in a classroom style arrangement and can also function as a computer lab, with a dozen PC workstations, 2 printers, and scanners. This classroom also comes with a projector and a large whiteboard. The small computer lab can seat 12 and functions as a more intimate computer lab with ten PC workstations, standard and large format printing capabilities, and a whiteboard.

Classroom

The multi-purpose classroom can seat 50 theater style or 30 in a classroom style arrangement. The room can function in a lab capacity, serve as a space for arts and crafts, or be utilized as a space for meetings among other possibilities. This classroom comes with a projector and drop-down screen, a whiteboard, and 2 cork boards.

Multi-purpose rooms

Rockefeller Hall offers two small multi-purpose rooms that can function as the perfect space for a meeting. The spaces can fit 6 or 18.
